The Best Salted Egg Chicken in Singapore?

Aloha Patootie!

I have a confession to make: I always don't finish my food.

I know this is really bad, because think of the African kids? But, it just happens that I always get hungry very easily but get full just as easily too. Therefore, I always appreciate my friends who do not nag at me for this and who, instead, help me to finish my meal.

However, once in a while when the food is heavenly good, I am able to break this curse!

Let me introduce you to the Salted Egg Chicken at Sim Lim Square, Rochor (S$ 5.50) who is the mouth-watering curse-breaker. I have been told many times by my friends on how delicious this salted egg chicken is and the story told claimed that it is  the best they have ever had. Now that I have gotten a taste of it, this salted egg chicken is love! (Thanks for introducing me to this, I love you <3)

So, what's so special about this?

I have definitely experienced chicken that is too flourish or is too dry because they used chicken breast but probably has fried it for too long. However, the chicken here is just the right amount of tenderness and also crispiness. The salted egg yolk is absorbed into the chicken so it tastes even more delish! Furthermore, I love how there is this glimpse of spiciness from the chili that blends really well with the sweet and salty flavor of the sauce.

Let me tell you that the portion is pretty big

I was expecting myself to not be able to finish this, but I was clearly wrong because the bowl left squeaky clean! Can't wait to come back again!

Portion: 8/10
